The Carolina Cyclone, built by world renowned Arrow Dynamics, originally debuted at Carowinds in March of 1980. It was the first roller coaster in the world designed with four inversions and the first to feature the double corkscrew layout. Riders begin with a 95-foot lift hill, followed by back to back vertical loops and 360 degree barrel rolls that send riders spiraling above the midway at 41mph!
